Plans for the Piedmont Technical College Center for Advanced Manufacturing in Laurens County were announced in late August 2011, and the project is moving forward quickly. The necessary demolition work is now complete, and construction began in early January.

Mechanical Engineering Grad Finds Successful Transfer Path
After getting his start at Piedmont Technical College, Jode Robinson is on his way to becoming a nuclear engineer.
He completed his mechanical engineering transfer certificate at PTC and is on his way to the nuclear engineering program at North Carolina State University.
